Lakes 3 Passes 2nd June Wonderful turn out of 13 people in total with 11 bikes. Mal Pool, Mark Anyon, Peter Maddock, David Burns Keane, Walter and Jo, Jim Scott, James and Angie Sayers, John Rawsley, Sam Ferrer and with guest riders Dave and Lee Thank you to Mal Pool today for taking the role of acting leader behind me, dictating the 2nd man drop off. Stirling job! Early 8am stands up at The Mount to make a bee line to Cafe Ambio. A few riders made their own there.  Once again the breakfast did not disappoint. A hasty departure to take advantage of blazing met with my untimely dropping of my beast. No injury apart from pride and scratches not the steed. Thanks again for the help of picking her up. Anyway! The route up the west side of Coniston waters was full of (as Jo put it) sled draggers. Needles to say once we cleared them the views were stunning, passing Thirlmere on our left with the mountains coming into view on both sides was just breath taking. A short brew and fuel stop before we headed onto Honister pass which didn’t disappoint. It was busy as predicted but choosing to travel from east to west was spot as most of the cages were travelling opposite way. Wheat Sheaf inn cake, drink and loo stop saw Sam Ferrer depart us to make her way home as Sam lived close by. Lovely to finally meet you and great riding. Thank so so much everyone for the cake donations of £23. Next leg was onto the Whinlatter pass through the forest, short but sweet I would say. Lovely to see Walter and Jo enjoy their beautiful bright red Pursuit as they peeled off home as we stopped yet again for loo break and a natter at Brotherwaters Inn. By this time Ice cream at Walling’s was beckoning, so a rather slow trundle along Kirkstone pass behind the awful cage drivers gave us all a chance to actually see the scenery. A slightly faster ride onto Kellet Lane down the A6070 rounded off todays ride perfectly. We enjoyed a very generous serving of ice cream, whilst most of us ate the ice cream some chase to wear it.  Thank you all for an outstanding ride and being such good company, we even enjoyed the guest hhhhhonda riders, Dave and Lee. Sun must have gotten to us🤣. Looking forward to the next Mco Family time. Love you all. 207 miles of smiles🥰
