WOW, what a start to the new riding season. Great roads, weather played ball although a bit parky ? and one of the best turn outs for a monthly group ride, especially in early March.

The morning started meeting up over at The Mount in Orrell for breakfast which to be fair and a safety briefing it was off.

The route travelled through some fantastic scenery and roads over the M6, M61 and M65 heading North to Salmesbury with their English Electric Lightning & Lockheed Martin F35 mock up gate guards for our 1st stop of the day (after a fuel stop) for a brew at the Golden Arches of Ronald Mcd’s.

Step 2 of the route saw us via Clitheroe through the Forest of Bowland AONB. The roads in this area, although country road, have some of the best scenery. Stopping in Chipping for lunch. For part 3 of the route which took us via some more country scenic roads to just south of Garstang where a few of the locals peeled off for home. With the rest making our way to Southport via a fuel stop where it was decided to call it a day.

A massive thanks to all joining in today, especially good to see a few new members and guests.
