August 10th – 11th Caernarfon Trip for
Sharon’s Surprise birthday party
A special thank you to ‘Norm’ Andrew Thomas for our invites to a fantastic surprise for Sharon’s 50th
MCO riders had Andrew S, Karen T, Val H, Brian H, Dave C, Sonia C, Stuart C, Mal P, Jim S, Andrew D and Tony C.
Our journey started with some miserable drizzle but the sun eventually came out to play and soon dried us all off as we headed into Wales for our breakfast stop at The Old Stores Motorcycle cafe in Mold.
Unfortunately the drizzle found us again and spoiled the route round the horseshoe pass but hey ho we persevered and was rewarded with the beauty of Wales.
The next planned stop in Ye Olde Boot Inn was a welcome brew stop to sip on coffee and munch on the charity coffee muffins, collecting a respectable £27.50 for The Friends of Red Marsh School but not before a spontaneous burst of birthday song for our birthday girl Sharon🥰
Onwards to a fuel stop for most before an extended ride towards Caernarfon, A568 leading into the south on Snowdonia and then joining the A470 northbound taking us through Eryri National Park. Epic scenery with the sun beating down, tunes blasting out and the MCO family in tow, life just doesn’t get any better♥️
Arriving in Caernarfon’s Morrisons with some tender behinds😂. We sipped coffee again with some grub and was treated to cornettos by Andy D (thank you🙏🏼). We said our goodbyes to Norm and Sharon keeping up the pretence.
An absolute blast at Sharon’s birthday party at the Caernarfon Rigby club, very emotional surprise for her and plenty of drinks served. Top night and finished with some late night entertainment courtesy of our Big Bri 🤪🤪🤪 (video to follow soon🤗)
Morning route back was no less dramatic, as the weather was spot on with full sun guiding us through the awesome Llanberis Pass into Betwy s coed and a brew stop at Dragonfly Fisheries Cafe.
From here we cruised back through and around Dee Valley National Park.
Great short weekend away to celebrate a MCO family member.
Thank you all for being such wonderful company and yet more wonderful memories.
Love you all ♥️
