Sunday 9th June 2024……
Breakfast ride to The Lookout cafe, Preston…….Total mileage 68
The day started fairly dry but with a forecast of the wet stuff an extended ride after breakfast wasn’t looking too hopeful 
Andy & myself met with Bri, Val and Jim at The Mount at 8.45 am. We headed off for the cafe slightly earlier as we were all there on time. We arrived at The Outlook cafe around 10ish & it was a good job as most of the tables were booked up, very busy little place, but luckily there was a table for 5. This 5 turned into 7 with Tony & another Indian rider called Grahame meeting us there. They had just ridden down from Barrow after attending Dave Day yesterday…..well done guys. After filling our bellies with breakfast, the heavens opened 
& it was decided to abort the extended ride as it wouldn’t have been pleasant riding in that. So the lovely Val offered her usual fantastic hospitality and opened up her home for our coffee & cake break. So myself, Andy, Tony, Val and Bri headed back. Unfortunately Jim had to bail early due to incontinence, and feeling rather wet in his nether regions 
Oh, no, sorry Jim I meant your waterproofs not being quite waterproof and letting in the rain 
. The 5 of us spent a few happy hours chatting and having a good laugh as we always do!
